Cultivate Evolved
Artists Unite!
9 artists one space, endless possibilities….
I have exhibited a couple of times in a gallery space in London called Cultivate. I have always seen it as a rather unique exhibition space in that the managers of the set up (Sean Worrall and Emma Harvey) are artists themselves and so, understand the unique challenges most artists face.
Not only are they truly passionate about the idea of an artist run space, but they are willing to go the extra mile so that artists can take advantage of the really miniscule admission fees and commission that gets taken to put towards the rent.
In recent times though, it became harder to keep up with the rent of the gallery space. Plus all the time put into running the gallery and such was taking away precious energy and time needed for their own artistic pursuits. So they decided to Evolve….
This is the exciting part…
Sean Worrall had always wanted the space to be artist run, an art community, all working together and contributing their time and funds into creating a collaborative artist working and exhibiting space.
This is very exciting for me as I am one of the 9 permanent artists in the space! We are still looking for the 9th artist and the tenth space will be reserved for a special guest artist! A great exhibition opportunity for artists wishing to get involved with the vibe and growth of the space.
This is my Cultivate Evolved Facebook page which shows what my portion of the wall looks like at the moment, you can see the other artists from the Cultivate Evolved Facebook page too, its well worth the visit!
Come see my new works!
The other artists involved so far are:
Sean Worrall, Emma Harvey, Julia Maddison, Chis Paul Godber, Gareth Morgan, Genevieve Hatton-Brown and Katrine Storebo.
A very exciting and eclectic mix of styles and genres:))
This is a great opportunity as not only is the location of the Cultivate Evolved gallery an art “hot spot” but it also offers such a grand opportunity to engage with the public on a totally new level, I don’t think many artists are doing this kind of thing in the UK. You can read all about it here on the Cultivate Evolved Blog!
you can find the address etc on the website here
